IKO Cambridge boast a larger exposure than most competitive architectural style shingles.  The larger exposure presents a premium look.  Unlike some other major manufacturers, IKO does not outsource their granules, they quarry and crush their own granules to be able to precisely control the advanced color blending technology  and produce some of the most spectacular offering on the market.  

Using the same advanced color blending as they do on the Cambridge but adding in a secret weapon.  IKO Armor Zone is proprietary engineered tape bond on the back of the nailing strip, enabling a wind rating of 130 mph.  These shingles have 15 color options and the colors stay the way they were meant to because of a blue-green algae resistant granules embedded in the asphalt.  

IKO Nordic is a premium UL Class 4 Impact Resistant shingle, made using an extra thick Polymer Modified Asphalt.  These shingles have all of the technology advances that IKO has in their other offering plus the ability to fend off your typical hail storm.   Engineered for exceptional tear strength,  wind resistance and pliability, these shingles act as shock absorbers to hail.

For years and even now, the vast majority of UL Class 4 shingles, had to have UL Class 4 ridge caps .  All of them were standard profile.  Until now, we could not install high profile ridge caps on an impact resistant shingled roof in fear of voiding a warranty and of course, shingles could make it through a hail storm but the ridge caps could not.  IKO answered to call with Ultra High Profile IR Ridge Caps.  They combined the impact resistant technology with the awesome look of the high profile ridge.  

To put it simply, almost every single shingle manufacturer have roughly the same warranties from the factory.   Example being, a Limited Lifetime warranty combined with 10 years of a non pro rated period  and separate wind and algae resistance warranties are par for the majority of major shingle manufacturers.  IKO has broken the mold and extended their non-pro rated period to 15 years on Dynasty and Nordic products.    

Their special 1-1/4” reinforced nailing area "Armor Zone" on the back of the shingles, ensures incredible fastening power. They’ll help resist nail pull-through even at high winds and carry a 130 mph wind warranty, with the use of only four nails. IKO’s special FastlockTM sealant also helps resist water penetration and guards against wind uplift.   There are great You Tube videos on this incredible technology.
